There are seasons when “yes” feels like a big word, which can also feel loud, expensive and risky. You want to trust God, but your chest is tight, your energy is thin, and your mind is running a thousand worst-case scenarios before breakfast.

Paul says you’re a temple of the Spirit. Not just on Sundays. Not just when your hands are raised. A temple is where God lives.

When He says, “Come to me,” He’s not inviting the version of you who has it all together. He’s inviting the tired you; the distracted you.

If I treat God like a competing tab, I will always return to the loudest window. But when I approach Him as the Person in the room, not a concept competing with content, peace stops being theoretical and becomes practical.

Small is God’s favourite size for big things. A manger. A mustard seed. A wafer. “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14) doesn’t mean “the Word once did a cameo.”

Skills are powerful and public. Fruit is quiet and stubborn. Skills answer scarcity, pick me, I can do X, but fruit answers identity, this is who grace is making me.

So I tried something reckless: I handed my week to the Gospels. Not a mood board. Not a “spiritual productivity hack.”

It turns out, if your mind drifts twenty times and twenty times you return to God, that’s not failure, it’s twenty prayers.
