The God Guy™, Mick Jones, is a Catholic lay preacher who loves helping ordinary people meet Jesus in the middle of real life.

For years he’s served in evangelisation and mission, from university campuses, to parishes, to schools, shaped by community life with Emmanuel and time on staff with Catholic Mission.

Mick’s style is simple: real stories, clear teaching, and room for the Holy Spirit to move without hype. Whether he’s preaching to teenagers, parishioners, or staff, he wants people to walk away knowing Jesus is close, not distant, and that a deeper relationship with Him is possible.
My heart is simple: Jesus meets people where they really live. I preach short, grounded messages, make space for real prayer, and point to a hope that can hold in everyday life.
Mission
Inviting people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ that makes sense in their real, everyday world, school runs, staff rooms, and Sunday pews.
Beliefs
I believe in a loving God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who is real, personal, and still at work in the world today.

I follow Jesus as Lord and Saviour, encountered in prayer, Scripture, community and especially in the Eucharist. I’m rooted in the story and wisdom of the Catholic Church, and I trust the Holy Spirit to keep leading us.

Through honest prayer, community and everyday choices, I’ve seen mercy, forgiveness and a life centred on Jesus bring real freedom and deep peace, and I believe He wants that for every person.
